VISA REQUEST PROCESS FOR IEEE CONFERENCES

Embassies may have different requirements to obtain a Visa to enter the U.S. Some may request:

  • a letter verifying intentions of the conference participant
  • confirmation that the paper was accepted
  • a receipt that conference fees have been paid in full
  • appearance or interview by the conference participant

As a result of these requirements by some embassies, attendees are encouraged to apply no later than 3 (three) months prior to the conference.

We will issue visa letters to:

  • speakers and presenters
  • any organizing committee member
  • people professionally or personally known by a committee member
  • conference participant who has paid their registration fee in full and is not from a country embargoed by the U.S. Treasury Department Office of Foreign Control

To request a visa letter please fill out and email this form to Ellen Grady at grady @ cs . bu . edu
